Mishra Dhatu Nigam Limited (MIDHANI), Ministry of Defence, Government of India under the aegis of Official Language Implementation Committee, MIDHANI organized a full day Hindi workshop for the employees of the enterprise.
Hindi workshop was conducted in two sessions. In the first session, Shri Kazim Ahmed, Assistant Director (Official Language), RCI, delivered a lecture on the topic ‘Official Language Policy and its Implementation’. In his lecture, he highlighted the basis of selection of Hindi as the official language. He underlined the responsibility of the employees for the implementation of Official Language in the office. He discussed the constitutional provisions related to official language, the important points of the Official Languages Act, 1963 and the Official Language Rules, 1976 and motivated the employees for official writings in Hindi. He also enlightened the participants about the targets set for the official language for the central government offices and administered oath to all the participants to accelarate the implementation of the official language in the office.
In the second session, Dr. B. Balaji, Deputy Manager (Hindi Cell & Corporate Communication), MIDHANI delivered a lecture on ‘Basic knowledge of Hindi typing on computer’ and made participants to practice it. In order to give impetus to the use of Hindi in daily work, he informed the participants about the various schemes implemented in the enterprise related to the official language.
At the end all the participants gave their feedback in the prescribed form. Smt. D. Ratna Kumari, Jr. Executive (NUS), Hindi section, extended her cooperation in organizing the Hindi Workshop successfully.
