MIDHANI has received Governance Now 9th PSU IT Awards 2023 on 16th February 2023 at New Delhi, under 4 Categories of Use of Emerging Technologies – Analytics /Big Data; Enterprise Applications (ERP/SCM/CRM); Enterprise Security and Document Management. Digital Transformation Leader (CIO/CTO) Award was given to General Manger (ES) Mr. P Sasidharan.
The Governance Now Awards honour the efforts of Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) that have been key to the country’s growth.
The awards were given by Hon’ble Mr. Justice Dipak Misra, former Chief Justice of India and Ms. Amita Sharma, former Vice Captain of Indian Women Cricket Team.
MIDHANI Awards were received by Chairman & Manager Director Dr. S. K. Jha, General Manager (ES) Mr. P Sasidharan along with DGM(IT) and IT Department team.
MIDHANI has taken various IT initiatives, like Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) applications, Management Dashboards, Company Website, Corporate Mail including Internal Mailing system, E-office for Document Management and Artificial Intelligence etc. These applications have automated several business and administrative tasks and streamlined MIDHANI’s day-to-day business. MIDHANI is having Oracle ERP with all the major functional modules implemented and has developed several customised applications towards multiple online employee self-service.Eoffice caters the requirement of paperless digital file transfer and approvals.
Above all, MIDHANI has implemented strong Cyber Security measures to protect its applications, data, and networks, with strict Air gap between Internet and Intranet, Perimeter and Endpoint security, Tier-3 Primary Datacenter with Disaster Recovery site at the MIDHANI Rohtak unit, Network Honeypot setup etc.
GM(ES), Mr. P Sasisdharn who has begun his career as Engineer at MIDHANI in 1989, has worked across various departments of MIDHANI and is now in Engineering Services including IT Department. Despite his background in Mechanical stream, he has been thoroughly involved and contributed towards implementation of several IT initiatives for the organisation including ERP, Network, as well as developed and implemented various web-based Application.
