Mishra Dhatu Nigam Limited (MIDHANI) organised a Special Vendor Development Programme in association with the National SC-ST Hub (NSSH), Hyderabad, reaffirming its commitment to inclusive and sustainable industrial growth within the defence manufacturing ecosystem.

The programme was aimed at strengthening the participation of SC/ST entrepreneurs and MSMEs in MIDHANI’s supply chain, while promoting transparency, ease of vendor registration and awareness of procurement procedures.

The programme featured key addresses by Shri S. Suresh, NSSHO Head (Telangana & Andhra Pradesh); Shri Subhadip Ghosh, AGM (I/c, Purchase); Shri P. Babu, Director (Production & Marketing); and Smt. Spurthi Reddy, IRS, Chief Vigilance Officer, MIDHANI. The Keynote Address was delivered by Shri V. Suresh Babu, Zonal General Manager.

During the sessions, participants were apprised of MIDHANI’s procurement processes, vendor registration mechanisms, compliance requirements, and opportunities available for MSMEs. A dedicated session on Trade Receivables Discounting System (TReDS) was also conducted to enhance financial facilitation and liquidity support for MSMEs.

The initiative reflects MIDHANI’s structured approach towards strengthening inclusive supply chains, fostering equitable participation, and aligning with the Government of India’s vision of promoting SC/ST entrepreneurship and MSME growth in strategic manufacturing sectors.
