The Hindi Fortnight was celebrated with great enthusiasm at MIDHANI from 18th September to 5th October 2024. This event is not just a formality but an important cultural celebration, made possible by the active participation and cooperation of MIDHANI employees. The occasion commemorates the unanimous adoption of Hindi as the official language by the Constituent Assembly of India on 14th September 1949.
During this year’s Hindi Fortnight, a range of engaging activities was organized for employees, including vocabulary contests, poetry recitation, article writing, Hindi typing, Hindi film song singing, and quiz competitions. Additionally, a special Hindi song competition was held for the students of BPDAV School.
To further promote the use of Hindi, the Hindi film Gunjan Saxena was screened, which was well-received by the employees. The event concluded with a vibrant closing ceremony and prize distribution, held on 19th October 2024, celebrating the winners and the spirit of the Hindi language.
