Swachhta Pakhwada 2024 concluded successfully at Mishra Dhatu Nigam Limited (MIDHANI) Hyderabad, December 17, 2024: Mishra Dhatu Nigam Limited (MIDHANI) recently concluded its Swachhta Pakhwada 2024 at its Kanchanbagh plant in Hyderabad. The company organized a series of activities at its plant, corporate office, and the Midhani township to promote cleanliness, environmental sustainability, and social responsibility as part of the nationwide Swachhta Pakhwada campaign.
The Swachhta Pakhwada saw the participation of employees, their families, and local residents in various initiatives aimed at raising awareness and taking action on cleanliness. Key activities included the administration of the Swachhata Oath, cleanliness drives across the Midhani township, the collection of plastic waste, and the disposal of office scrap materials and e-waste. In addition, old files and office equipment were weeded out, office furniture was cleaned, and tree plantation programs were held.
In line with its commitment to environmental sustainability, MIDHANI also organized seminars on āReducing uses of āSingle Use Plasticā and other plasticsā and āImportance of Cleanliness in Daily Life.ā Efforts were made to fumigate areas to prevent the breeding of harmful insects, and the cleaning of drainage systems was undertaken to improve public health. A mini marathon was organized to spread the message of cleanliness among the public, encouraging participation and awareness.
MIDHANI also engaged local students by hosting an essay writing competition and a painting competition at BPDAV School, aimed at fostering creative expressions of cleanliness and environmental awareness. Winners of these competitions were awarded prizes on December 17, 2024, to recognize and motivate the young participants.
To maximize outreach, all activities were regularly shared on social media platforms, displayed on digital screens at the MIDHANI plant, and highlighted through posters and banners placed at key locations. These efforts ensured wide publicity and helped in spreading the message of Swachhata throughout the community.
