Mishra Dhatu Nigam Limited (MIDHANI) successfully concluded Hindi Month 2025, organized in connection with Hindi Diwas, with a special lecture on “Official Language Proposal in the Constitution and the Contribution of South Indians” delivered by Dr. Gopal Sharma, Professor of Linguistics.
The programme was presided over by Dr. S.V.S. Narayana Murthy, Chairman & Managing Director, and attended by Ms. K. Madhubala, Director (Finance) and Mr. P. Babu, Director (Production & Marketing), along with employees and students of BPDAV School.
In his address, Dr. Gopal Sharma highlighted the historical role of South Indian scholars in shaping India’s Official Language policy and emphasized linguistic harmony as a cornerstone of national unity. Addressing the gathering, the CMD stated that Hindi is not merely a language of communication but a symbol of India’s unity and cultural identity, and stressed the need to promote its use in administrative, technical, and scientific functions. Winners of various Hindi competitions conducted during Hindi Month were felicitated on the occasion.
