Shri. Surendra Sinh, completed his M.Sc. in Physics and served as Scientific Officer in BARC Mumbai from 1977 to 1980. He then joined Indian Police Service in 1980 and was allotted Madhya Pradesh cadre. He served as head of the Madhya Pradesh state police as DGP from October 2014 to June 2016 and is now currently serving as Vice Chairman at Madhya Pradesh State Disaster Management Authority at Bhopal.
During his tenure he has also served as Supdt. Of Police in Mandla, Morena, Khandwa, Durg and Bhopal Districts. Served as Range IGP in Chambal and Bhopal Ranges. Served as staff officer in Police Headquarters Madhya Pradesh in the rank of DIG and Addl. DGP. Was also was head of Intelligence, Administration and Special Armed Force branches of Police Headquarters. He has worked as Director General of Prison and Correctional Services in Govt. of Madhya Pradesh.
