A grand one-day Technical Seminar in Hindi on the theme “Role of Enterprises in Viksit Bharat @2047” was organised at Mishra Dhatu Nigam Limited (MIDHANI), a Government of India
enterprise under the Ministry of Defence, to commeJmorate the 109th birth anniversary of its Founder Chairman and Managing Director, Dr. R.V. Tamhankar on 28.07.2026. The event commenced with the offering of floral tributes at the statue of Dr. Tamhankar, followed by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp and the rendition of Vande Mataram.

Ms. K. Madhubala, Director (Finance), MIDHANI, presided over the seminar. Dr. Anupam Sharma, Distinguished Scientist and Director, Directorate of Special Projects, DRDO, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Dr. Seema Kumari, Assistant Director (In-charge), Hindi Teaching Scheme, Hyderabad, and Dr. Ravichandra Rao, Assistant Director, Hindi Teaching Scheme, Hyderabad, attended the event as Special Guests.

The first technical session, comprising PPT presentations, was chaired by Shri Homanidhi Sharma, Deputy General Manager (HR–Official Language), Bharat Dynamics Limited, and co-chaired by Shri Nishank Kumar Jain, Additional General Manager (Titanium, ICP & EBM), MIDHANI. The second session was chaired by Dr. Seema Kumari and co-chaired by Shri Pravin S. Varad, Additional General Manager (Stores), MIDHANI. The Welcome Address was delivered by Shri Shubhdip Ghosh, Additional General Manager (Purchase), MIDHANI. Shri Anand Kumar, GM (Production), Shri A. Ravichandran, GM (Melts), Shri AP Rao, GM (Finance), Shri Harikrishna V., I/c HR, and Shri M.P. Ramesh, AGM (HR) (I/c Security, EMS, and T&D), were also present on the occasion.

The seminar witnessed enthusiastic participation from representatives of member offices of TOLIC (PSUs), various DRDO laboratories, engineering and degree colleges, and MIDHANI. 20 presentations were made during the technical sessions, highlighting the role of Official Language implementation and enterprises in realising the vision of Viksit Bharat @2047. The event concluded with the National Anthem.
