Mishra Dhatu Nigam Limited (MIDHANI) was incorporated as a Public Sector Undertaking under the administrative control of Department of Defence Production, Ministry of Defence, for manufacture of Superalloys, Titanium alloys and Special purpose Steels required for strategic sectors like Aeronautics, Space, Defence, Atomic Energy, Navy, Special products like Molybdenum wires & plates, Titanium and Stainless Steel Tubes, Alloys for electrical and electronic application like Soft Magnetic alloys, Controlled Expansion alloys and Resistance alloys.

Mission : To achieve ” Self- Reliance in the research, development, manufacture and supply of critical alloys and products of National Security and Strategic Importance ” .

Corpoarte Objective
  1. Manufacture and supply high technology metals, alloys and their products, components to all strategic sector customers like Space, Department of Atomic Energy (DAE) and Defence in their endeavor for self-reliance.
  2. To enable customers like DRDO, ISRO, HAL, DAE and OFB to source strategic materials which MIDHANI would design, develop and commercially manufacture and which are not easily accessible to these organizations.
  3. To sustain position as “National Centre for Excellence” in advanced metals and products in the country by pursuing the following :
    • To achieve customer satisfaction of the highest order.
    • To improve productivity / yield by constantly looking for alternative methods and process and capacity utilisatrion.
    • To reduce input costs and enhance value addition.
    • To take such measures for energy conservation.
    • To develop human resources through knowledge upgradation and HR practices.
    • To pursue continuous improvement in quality and delivery of products.
  4. To implement modernization & upgradation plans with the assistance from Customers and continue to maintain company’s strategic importance for self reliance.
